Well ladies and gents, one year ago around this time Twilight‘s Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet together at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Since then, the pair has been a favorite among gossip sites about their maybe relationship. Everyone is waiting anxiously for tomorrows 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to see how Rob and Kristen react on the red carpet, especially cause this is the first time they’ll be out promoting New Moon since their concert kiss.

So we offer you this trusty readers: here are all the pics from last years VMAs when we were positive that they were not dating. We are positive about this because Kristen was there with her then/maybe still is boyfriend, Michael Angarano. Take a look at these, see the body language, see the smiling, that sort of thing, and then watch again on Sunday to see if anything has changed.

I’m guessing that something has, so it will definitely be interesting to see if I’m right. Maybe we’ll even get a genuine smile out of Kristen. That would be nice.
