In case you haven’t heard, this movie Twilight is opening in theatres across the country today. That piercing, high-pitched squealing noise you’re hearing is the sound of the estrogen tsunami rolling throughout the land. It is not, no matter what you’re told, the result of me cutting my nails too short this morning.
The film has received positive reviews, and almost 2,000 screenings are already sold out, no doubt helped by star Robert Pattinson. Co-star Kristen
Stewart says that Pattinson has the killer looks for the
job, saying he’s “pretty sexy”. Curiously, she also claimed that Pattinson proposed marriage to her on set. However, it appears that this was not a real proposal, the kind you give the girl you’re going to marry, but rather a fake proposal, the kind you give a girl during that awkward time between getting her pregant and moving out of the city.
“I mean, I don’t know how serious he was, but yes,” Stewart
says. “We spent a lot of time together, a lot of like really heightened
time.”
“I can’t remember proposing to her,” Pattinson says, adding
that he pops the question to women as a good conversation starter. “It used to be my thing, I would propose all the time,”

Actually, Cassydi, I agree that edwardhot– bellanot is just jealous of Kristen Stewart, but I think you can be a true fan of a movie even if you don’t like all of the characters. Take the villians in the movie for example, even though you don’t like them (because they are villians) doesn’t mean you’re not a true fan of the movie. Just because edwardhot–bellanot is jealous of Kristen Stewart and doesn’t like her doesn’t mean she’s not a fan of the movie itself.

I dont think that Rob and Kris should get married.They need to test the waters before they start to settle down. Rob even said that he didnt date a lot, so how could he explore all his options, he should expand more. Kris doesnt deserve all this negative critisizm from people, so just chill out and give her a break. Like me, I used to envy Kris, but not anymore because Rob seems to like her. I know jealousy is hard to repress.. believe me I know because I’m 14 and I just got over the Kris and Rob thing. We should all just look for soul mates in our own social group instead of one we dont belong in. Seriously, people? Bella and Edward are NOT real. Kristin is not Bella, and Robert is not Edward, and just because they play characters who are in love doesn’t automatically make them perfect for each other. They are probably completely different people from the characters they play. And honestly, I hope they are. Bella is a whiny, obsessive, self-hating Mary Sue, and Edward is a stalker.
Not to mention that Meyer is a thief. There are so many similarities between her books and Ann Rice’s Vampire Chronicles that it’s a wonder she hasn’t been sued yet. Too bad she didn’t pick up any of the elements that make Rice a decent writer.
