While we may have all been hoping that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were deeply in love, Rob denies that the couple are dating to Vanity Fair magazine. Check out the other shots from the photoshoot.
Pattinson, for his part, says of Stewart: “She’s influenced how I’ve done all the Twilight stuff. It’s quite nice to have someone who is genuinely indifferent to the whole spectacle of everything.” For the record, however, Pattinson says the rumors of a love affair are false: “It doesn’t make any difference what you say [to the tabloids]. I’ve literally been across the country [from Kristen], and it’s like ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’ ” Stewart is even more emphatic: “It’s so retarded,” she says. “We’re characters in this comic book.”
This last year has been incredibly hard for Rob.
“I’m trying not to drown,” he says in his hotel room at the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel, which is littered today with beer bottles, old scrambled eggs, a half-eaten Twix bar, and a dirty pair of jeans on the living-room floor. And he notices that he hasn’t made his bed. “Oh, God. Sorry about that.”
“I’m unbearably self-conscious about stuff,” he admits. To the point where, while filming scenes before the army of New York paparazzi that has been following him around, he is terrified that his “ass crack is showing.”

Rob is a modest person, who doesn’t think the most of his own looks. He thinks he resembles “a cartoon character.” One of his legs is longer than the other, which makes him look, he assures you, “like an idiot.”He also thinks people are sick of hearing him talk about not being able to leave his hotel room. “I guess I’m not the type of guy cut out to do a franchise,” he says. “I’m not much of a crowd person.”Pattinson’s director from the indie film How to Be, Oliver Irving, recalls, “he’d make his eyes water and get himself all worked up … slapping himself and doing everything he possibly could to make him feel ill,” while passersby wondered what the hell was the matter with this guy.
When you play a weirdo, he explains, “You can always have an excuse… He’s a weirdo!”Rob, you’re a lovable, exquisite weirdo. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ouch, poor Kristen. They’ve been photographed at hotels together, but they are and never dated? I guess that means he was just using her for friends with benefits options until he found something better.

They took the same cab, that doesn’t make Kristen his girlfriend. Rob was photographed taking the same cab with either Kellan, Peter, Taylor, Ashley or Elizabeth. Does this mean he slept with all of them? And please don’t “poor Kristen”, she is much better than that. Don’t you remember that Kristen doesn’t want Rob in the first place.

michelle–kristen was papped doing the walk of shame in LOS ANGELES twice from Robert’s hotel –first at the Charlie, secondly at the Chateau Marmont this summer. WTH are you talking about regarding the casts?

karen — They went out eating & meeting, they are just a very close friends. Rob has no home in US, he is close to Kristen and he wants her to meet his friends. He wants to hand out with Kris. That’s all they admit. Remember Karen, they BOTH deny it, Kristen constantly deny it…. so they are not involved. Don’t read too much into that. Kristen is much better person…
Wow! Poor Kristen. Rob makes her look like a fool with his admission in this article. She was only 17 when they met. Girls that young always believe it is true love. Very sad
@cara. Oh please, Kristen was 17 but she was already in a “long term” relationship with someone else. She wasn’t some innocent child, however, if they’re both denying anything but friendship, there is really nothing else to argue.

Any dude who uses his friend for sex and then denies their relationship is a j.e.r.k. In light of that, I think his whole photo shoot makes him look like a self-indulgent p.i.g.. I say we boycott his movies. He’s no Edward. That’s for sure. I have lost interest in Twilight.
I hope he treats her good, if he doesn’t she could do so much better. This article doesn’t put him in the best light. We’ll never really know the truth of things. You say you’ll boycot his movies but I bet you’ll all line up for New Moon/eclipse.
