Robert Pattinson is occupied at the moment, getting bruised and battered on the set of his new film, Remember Me, as evidenced by these are more photos from yesterday. But before he got himself beat up, RPattz had an opportunity to give this interview that was just unearthed.

When asked about High School Musical star, Zac Efron, Pattinson had a surprising response. “But he’s all the opposite of what I thought he would be. He’s so honest and down to earth. You’d think he’s so prepared for the press, but he’s not,” Robert said.

In addition, he revealed that he did audition for True Blood, but as fate would have it, he was cast as a different kind of vampire in Twilight. And when he first started on the film, he believed he had to “be very serious” because he thought his costar Kristen Stewart was.

However, he soon realized that was silly. “She must have thought I was stuck up. I only spoke to her about the movie, other movies, books, serious stuff. But I felt like an idiot. I dropped the act and we got along great.”

As for all the rumors that he repeatedly proposed to Stewart on set, Pattinson said simply, “I don’t remember that happening, but if that’s what she said, then it’s true.” And if we’re to believe all the crazy rumors, then it’s going to be a shotgun wedding.
