After 14 years together, Robin Wright and Sean Penn have finally broken all legal ties and officially divorced.
Wright first filed for divorce in December 2007 then withdrew the paperwork in April 2008, then the following year asked the court for a legal separation and in May 2009, the couple once again reconciled.
Last August, Wright again filed for divorce and this time it stuck. The split became official on July 27. This was the second marriage for both Penn and Wright. They have a 19-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son together and will share custody of the boy.
It’s also rumored that Wright is in talkes to join the cast of The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo, where she’ll play Daniel Craig‘s editor and occassional lover. Production begins on the film this fall and will be released Dec. 21, 2011.
