Well, you can’t say they didn’t try. After filing for divorce two times, only to try and work things out, Robin Wright Penn has filed for divorce for a third time from husband Sean Penn.

Filed in Marin County, California on August 12, papers indicate that “both parties have already agreed to [shared] custody” over their 16-year-old son Hopper Jack. The couple also have an 18-year-old daughter, Dylan Frances, who is college bound.

Already estranged, the document adds that the two have “agreed to division of all property.” Their relationship first began in 1989 and they wed in 1996.

On Monday, Robin’s interview with More magazine went public. In it, she admitted that a reconciliation with Sean was not in the cards. “I hit that crossroad a while ago. I know what I don’t want,” Robin confessed. I’m thinking it’s gonna stick this time.
