Joan Jett and Carmen Electra took in the Anna Sui show replete with babydoll dresses, high boots and a vintage rocker vibe. A very fashionable Lenny Kravitz and queen bee Lil’ Kim were in the front row at Marc Jacobs. Donald and Melania Trump took in the Michael Kors show. Kors created whimiscal outfits from fur and cozy cashmere. He spiced up weekender bags with some shine and sparkle. He employed wearable neutrals in champagne and truffle, a tan and brown color palette. Bare shoulders peeked out of cashmere sweater dresses. Kors jumped on the jumpsuit train with a strapless black version. He also showed a sparkly crystal embellished gown, perfect for the lady who loves to be in the center spotlight. Bag Hags Mary-Kate and Ashley’s bag lady chic style with lots of layers has inspired many of the collections. At Proenza Schouler, Jake McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez layered disparate looks to create something totally fresh, such as layering t-shirts under evening gowns.
