Usually known for, um, throwing shit and being downright difficult, Russell Crowe showed his softer side by comforting an Australian rugby player with a gentle hand.
The actor gave English player Sam Burgess a club membership card yesterday at an Australian match in the name of Burgess’ late father, a former rugby league player and coach.
Burgess, after getting all teary-eyed, played his debut match for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, a team in which Crowe has a controlling interest.
Perhaps fatherhood has softened Crowe up in recent years? Then again, this event took place off-set and not in a hotel room, away from his preferred tantrum-throwing spots!

Why can’t you people stop with all the negative
comments.
I certainly hope you get the same done to you for mistakes you made. That was a long time ago .
He is a terrific person and deserves better from
you people.
Russell , you have all of our hearts and hands
forever.

Give the goddamn phone “incident” a rest, no, a burial! Enough already! Russell IS a terrific guy and indeed undeserving of nasty, puerile little digs from the likes of you. Grow up or shut up.

For Heaven’s sake! Enough all ready! Someone must be too busy being a socialite to know what’s really going on with Russell. Here’s an article about one of Russell’s many “from the heart” gestures and you smear it up with…junk! I’m about to throw a tantrum just from reading this.

Right on, Ladies. Enough is enough! As for the so-called reporter peddling this garbage on the net, find something more accurate and constructive to say, or get another job. By the way, Russell looks great … showing far more genuine class than this website.

…yawn… will you bottom-feeders ever get over it – or even get it right, for that matter? …seems not… too easy to (incorrectly) repeat repeat repeat very minor incident compared to many others (e.g., damage to his wife by the paps mob outside the courthouse – now THAT was crimal – but evidently socially acceptable!).
If you REALLY did your journalist homework, you would KNOW that those beautiful, good hands have done far more positive (but un-touted, as he wants it) lovely good works than all the other “golden boys” (in your favor) put together — in addition to be the best actor on earth… (P.S. many of those good works occurred before fatherhood).
But HEY thanks for the excellent, sweet photos – this is so Rusty!!

Seems to me you have misquoted yourself, in more ways than one. ‘Uses his hands for good’, from what the original story was about, they were mostly words, and heartfelt ones at that, as a few were shed. And when you speak of League, (get your facts straight), its not Rugby, 2 different games sweetheart, be aware which is which, when you are trying to ‘quote facts’.
Crowe does indeed have a controlling interest in South Sydney but, he shares that with another party, Mr. Peter Holmes a Court and if you had done a little research you would have picked up this widely known fact.
Now, I am not one to pick a piece to pieces, but your editorial skills leave much to be desired. All in all, you could have copied and paste this whole article from its original source and left your nasty comments out.
And then that just leaves the man himself, well, if you got the rest wrong, what can I say.
