This summer’s blockbuster boy, Ryan Reynolds, recently revealed some shocking history. Reynolds, pictured above waving to his fans outside of his Soho hotel while promoting his new movie The Change-Up in New York City on August 4th, said he was hit by a drunk driver when he was a teenager!
Reynolds recalls the accident, according to US Magazine, “When I was 19 I was drinking,” says the Green Lantern actor. “I was at a bar and I had a few drinks and I thought, ‘You know what I’m going to do? I’m going to leave my car here, be responsible.’ I started to walk home and I was hit by a drunk driver.” The accident happened back in 1996 in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada.

Ryan recalls that he didn’t wake up until three days after the accident and had broken every bone on the left side of his body. Reynolds, now 34-years-old, says the accident still haunts him today and says about his physical health, “Since then, I’ve been a rickety broken mess.” Don’t you feel relieved and happy that Ryan made, pretty much, a full recovery from the accident?
