Yesterday (July 10) Ryan Reynolds was out and about in Vancouver, Canada and he encounter a few fans while with some friends. Apparently, Ryan was not in a generous mood, as he refused to sign autographs or have his picture taken with fans.
The actor has stated that he really has no hobbies other than his career. He said:
“My hobbies are. work. No, I’m kidding. But I do love to work and my hobby is also my career. Am I a workaholic? It depends who you ask. I don’t think so. I think when I have time off I really use it, but I work in Hollywood. It’s not like I’m a neurosurgeon. I can take a phone call when I’m relaxing.”

Now that he’s a little older, he does find it easier to relax now. He added:
“I’m closer to moderation now than I’ve ever been, but years ago I would have had trouble with that. If it was a vacation I had to climb something or do something, but that’s just being younger I think. Now I can handle a book and some TV for a while.”

Actually, the girl in a couple of photos is taking a picture of him with a cell phone … and he seems to be smiling.
I hope his home town fans will cut him some slack and let him enjoy his vacation and his family in peace. He has been working non-stop for over a year and has to travel the world on a weekly basis. I know as a fan, I would love to have pictures and an autograph, but if he does not want to, we tend to judge him as rude but that is not always the case.
I was reading all those rude messages on Twitter and finally there is someone who understands Ryan’s situation! Thank you! I 100% agree.
I think when you are constantly being bothered by fans for pictures and autographs, it does take a toll on you. I doubt very much he was rude because that is not his style. He probably just wanted a chance to breathe. Put yourself in his place. Ryan rude? Oh please. He is a sweetheart.
that girl is me in the picture… and i know i probably shouldnt have been bugging him while he was on vacation…. but i was just so jazzed to shake his had and meet him… i didnt care he didnt want to take a picture… plus i kinda got my pictures anyway from the papparazzi!!! but it wasnt me that was upset about how things went down… thats just what the papers were writting!!!!
Considering the situation, he should have signed for the young lady. That’s rough . . .
