Ryan Gosling, sexy and manly actor extraordinaire, is making a name for himself in the music industry. He already works as a deejay on occasion, so it was really only a matter of time for him to take it a step further.
Ryan and his friend Zach Shields make up Dead Man’s Bones, and are releasing their self-titled debut album on October 6. According to People, it’s some sort of concept record and took two years to complete. That must have been one long tambourine banging session. Do you like that I immediately associate tambourines with concept albums?
Ryan said of the album, “You
know when you’re a kid and you get crayons and papers and just draw
whatever you want and it’s just a bunch of messy lines, but to you it
makes sense, and then they put it on the fridge,” Gosling said of the
project at the time. “We wanted to get back to that place before we
were trying to make the fridge. We wanted to work with people who
hadn’t been affected in that way yet.”
You can even give a listen to some of Dead Man’s Bones music on their official MySpace. I’m liking it. Not as much tambourine as I would have like though.
