Sorry, it’s probably not the bang you were hoping for. Ryan Phillippe is in South Africa filming scenes from his new film Big Bang Club, which follows the story of war photographers documenting the last bloody days of white rule in South Africa.

Since Ryan’s holding the camera, we’re going to guess that he stars as one of the journalists. The story also stars Malin Akerman, who is currently on the big screen in The Watchmen. That Ryan sure has a nose for dramas. I wonder if we’ll ever see him venture into the arena of comedy. Or porn. Either would be totally valid choices, in our humble opinion.
