The movie Buried, which premieres next week at the Sundance Film Festival, will feature Ryan Reynolds…and no one else! In the indie film, Reynolds stars (…obviously) as a US contractor working in Iraq who wakes up buried
alive inside a coffin following an attack, armed with only a lighter
and a cell phone to help him escape. The whole movie will take place inside the coffin with no flashbacks or characters other than Reynolds, shown pictured at a West Hollywood gas station yesterday. At least Tom Hanks had Wilson to keep him company in Castaway. And at 88 minutes, this movie sounds like it’ll be as entertaining as being trapped in the box with him!
“It’s the only movie I’ve ever heard of with only one person in it,” the People’s Choice Winner and Green Lantern star recently told The Playlist. “I don’t know,
we’ll see. It’s either going to be, you know, the greatest, most
experimental cool movie ever made or god knows what.”
Or maybe it’s going to be like one of those Japanese “Escape the Room” games where using the lighter and the cellphone in crafty ways will get him out! In which case…I’ll probably just get frustrated and leave.

Being trapped in a box with him could get interesting. And hot. And seßual.
