A woman has been accused of cracking her husband’s skull by driving off as he clung to the hood of their car to try to stop her drink-driving.Worried Douglas Bolando, 39, is said to have hopped on the front of his Dodge pickup truck as wife Sandra Bolando, 38, tried to drive off to a bar despite them having been on an all-day bender after leaving their two young children with a babysitter. Police say she drove down their block in Long Island, New York, then made a sharp turn making her husband fall off.”His head and face took the full impact on hitting the roadway,” said Detective Sgt. Kevin Naylor of the Suffolk Police, saying that she continued driving “oblivious to the seriousness of his injuries”.Mr Bolando is listed in serious condition with a fractured skull, as well as a possible neck injury. His wife is charged with drink driving, leaving the scene of an accident with serious physical injuries, and felony vehicular assault.
