Sandy’s taking on a new role. She’s just signed on to star in Kim Barker’s comedy “All About Steve,” which she will produce through her Fortis Films banner.

In the spec script, bought by Fox 2000, Bullock will play a smart yet obsessive crossword puzzle fan who stalks a TV cameraman across the country. Why? Who knows. Maybe she has a thing for guys holding large mechanical equipment, or maybe she’s just a nutjob with too much time on her hands. My vote is for the latter.

As long as the film isn’t a romantic comedy (she’s worn out her welcome in that genre) all should be okay.
