Katy “I Never Met A Costume I Didn’t Like” Perry was extending her own personal Halloween on stage at the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards. By turns wearing a sparkly Barack Obama t-shirt, a football player uniform and…a carousel.
Pink changed out of her red-carpet get-up and was pretty in plaid, showing off her muscular figure. Picking a pillow fight with her would not be recommended under normal circumstances, but since it was part of her act, no one got hurt.
Sir Paul McCartney took home the prize for Ultimate Legend in his hometown of Liverpool, where the awards were heldl. The former Beatle shared the stage with Bono, who presented the award to Paul.
But my favorite person I’m seeing on the stage was Grace Jones, with her sparkly hat and fierce silhouette. Like an androgynous (yes, even more so) sexy Mr. Peanut minus the monocle–a look that never fails to amuse me. The only thing missing would be if she had managed to snag herself Beyonce‘s robot hand.
Not present to accept their awards were Rick Astley for Best Act Ever and Britney Spears for Best Act of 2008 and Album of the Year.
