An in-depth look at John McCain‘s campaign in Newsweek‘s Special Election Project talks about the frustrations top advisers to the senator experienced with his flashy running mate Sarah Palin. According to the political mag, Palin’s “profligacy” enraged staffers behind closed doors.
“One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist,” the article claims. “But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family–clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.”
Interestingly enough, with all the expensive clothes at her fingertips, Palin once showed up to greet male campaign staffers at the door wearing nothing but a towel on her body and one on her head. Is that how they do in Alaska? Sexy, true, but it’s so cold there.
The Special Election Report was allowed behind-the-scenes coverage under the agreement that it wouldn’t be published after the election.

Naturally, …all those reports were from “unnammed sources”..
I’m no Palin fan, but these reports sound like rubbish.
im not holding my breath for this indepth article to come out. unless of course its from the oh so reliable national enquirer. even on the off chance these were true, no advisor or campaign staff is going to allow someone in to record this on the promise that it wouldnt come out until after the election. there will still be other elections and my bet is that we will see sarah again and campaign staff isnt going to allow a smear for a big named republican. anyway, after my long speech i dont believe this to be true in anyway, since sarah would have needed much more than 3 suits for this entire campaign.
