The New York Post reports today on the probable identity behind SocialiteRank.com, the website that ranks , well, socialites. All I know is Lisa Timmons isn’t on it so that site is goddamn faulty. Anyway, people are wicked up in arms about it and one low-ranking bitch even hired a private investigator to find out who’s running things. The answer? Photographer/marketer/hoi-polloi denizen Kate Schelter. Maybe.

Schelter has her own site, KateSchelter.com, which name-checks popular SocialiteRank subjects such as Zac Posen, Lucy Sykes, Vogue, The Daily and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. In fact, Schelter’s own bio brags that she “is a well-connected hostess committee member of the CFDA Awards” – a committee and subject which receives hordes of attention on SocialiteRank.com

“She’s friends with everyone,” said another source. “She threw a big party with Zac Posen in Istanbul last year.”

Well, I guess my Zac Posen in Istanbul party invite got lost in the goddamn mail. Hmmmph. When am I going to start getting invited to these things? Seriously, I’m glamorous! No one can wear an Old Navy hoodie like me! What? Comment on the story? Who gives a shit? I don’t know this bitch. And if it is her, her site is just one big high school slam book. People need to grow up. And be forced to work at a gas station for a couple of months to see how the real people live.
