Selena Gomez has never made a blip on my radar before (or I should say, I know who she is I just don’t care to give her any attention), but when she recently refused Justin Bieber‘s request to take of her heels, I kind of gave her some points in my book of ‘People I’ve never met that I think if I do I may have respect for.’

Gomez, who you can check out at the premiere of her new film Beezus and Ramona from earlier this month, was asked by Bieber to take her heels off for a recent duet at a performance so she wouldn’t tower over him and she basically said hell no.

“I said, ‘I’m not going to take off my heels. You’re short. Embrace it.’ He’s getting taller, though,” she added. Absolutely precious.
