Guy Chambers is attempting to launch Robbie Williams’ career into the US mainstream. The former songwriter for Robbie believes that riding on the coattails of Shakira’s US fan base will create an audience for Williams. He told a reporter from Britain’s “The Sun” paper:

“He should have always done that. It would be the perfect match and I would like to write the tune for it. It would be a worldwide hit and would break Robbie in America.”

Guy and Robbie were former partners but had a fight over record deal with EMI. The pair haven’t worked together since the falling out. Chamber also sites Robbie’s desire to move to LA for their partnership ending.
