Shia LaBeouf mangled his hand in a traffic accident last week. He was charged with a misdemeanor DUI, but ultimately the accident was determined not to be his fault. These Hollywood nimrods will learn zero if people keep patting them on the head and just handing them a vial of coke and telling them to run along.

Anyway, Shia’s Transformers 2 director Michael Bay is standing behind his star. He’s saying that, despite the observation of LAPD offices on the scene, Shia wasn’t drunk and they will just work around his hand.

“His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story,” Bay says.

“You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away,” Bay said of the DUI charge.
“He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”

As long as his big robots that are also cars get back on the big screen. I seriously need to move to LA. You can do anything there, and someone will excuse it if there’s enough money riding on you. As long as your movie has a Burger King tie-in, you can throw nuns off skyscrapers.
