This kid’s career makes me want to burn my resume. Shia LaBeouf is all over the place at the moment. He just made a splash, as host on SNL, promoting his latest film, Disturbia, (which opened over the weekend as the number one film in the country) and now, he’s been chosen to appear in the long-awaited Indiana Jones movie.

Disturbia actor Shia LaBeouf, 20, has been tapped to appear in the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones film franchise, which will star Harrison Ford, in a yet-to-be-announced role.

Sometimes, I tell myself that I appreciate the fact that my parents didn’t try to push me into show business at a young age. And there are other times, like when I catch a glimpse of the career of twenty-year-old, Shia LaBeouf, that I realize that so much of my life was wasted on a playground or doing algebra, which I only ever vaguely understood. I should have been working dammit. Who needs a functional childhood, when you can retire by twenty-five? Sigh. I blame Mom and Dad that I’m twenty-seven and STILL working.
