Simon Cowell got ahead of himself by declaring that The X-Factor would beat the pulp out of American Idol, but he admits that he got a bit too “cocky” with the notion that his new show was better than his old show.
“I had come off the back of a massive hit in the UK, had the adrenaline and couldn’t wait to put the show on here, and it is going to take a little longer than I thought,” Cowell explain at a press conference ahead of Thursday’s finale.
Judge Paul Abdul hinted at some changes in the new season. “Maybe if each judge had one group and we each had one female, one male and one over, that would solidify more interest in groups. And we should pick out of a hat, that’s what people are saying,” Abdul said, according to the BBC.
The only thing that draws me into The X-Factor is that delicious Welch dish, Steve Jones. The grapevine telleth that Jones might either be replaced next season or forced into co-hosting duties. Please don’t get rid of Jones. Eye candy is good for advertising.
Who are you rooting for? Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro, or Josh Krajcik?
