Simon Cowell recently confessed to Mirror Magazine that he has a telescope installed in his kitchen so that he can see what all of his Beverly Hills neighbors are up to.

The American Idol judge says, “I look out over the Hollywood Hills into my neighbours’ gardens. It’s an amazing view. It isn’t powerful enough to see into their homes – so you can’t see them in the shower – but you can see into their gardens. It’s great fun. I just like to keep an eye on what is happening.”

Simon’s hobby started after watching the movie Dudley Moore film ’10,’ about a man who uses a telescope to spy on his porn producer neighbor.

I’m sure neighbors Leonardo DiCaprio, John Travolta, and Christina Aguilera would much prefer that Simon mind his own business. However, I get the feeling that Simon’s just fine not being able to catch a glimpse of area resident Britney Spears in the bathroom (and I apologize if I just caused you to lose your breakfast with that image).
