Jessica Simpson and Owen Wilson appear to have made a romantic connection. the two Texans had been acquaintances for years, but were reportedly re-introduced to one another by none other than braid-wearing matchmaker Willie Nelson. OK, so he didn’t actually set them up, but it was on the set of his music video that the two seemed to ignite a spark. Shortly after the shoot, the two were spotted getting chummy in bars on either coast. One instance had the two cozying it up in a cabana at Santa Monica, California’s The Huntley Hotel days before Halloween. It was only a week after that, that Owen and Jess caught some dinner in New York at the Waverly Inn and then a witness spotted the two hanging out at the Rose bar later that night. According to the source, who tipped off Us Weekly:
“Jessica was touching Owen’s arm and flipping her hair.” In return, the fellow patron says, “Owen was charming, making Jessica laugh…it felt very date-y.”
It all sounds very sweet and innocent, that is, until Jessica finally presses Owen to tell him what he REALLY thinks of her music.
