It was almost exactly a year ago that Robert Downey Jr. kicked off his tremendous comeback when he began promotion of his action blockbuster Iron Man. This year, it’s Sherlock Holmes, directed by Guy Ritchie is the project the actor is pimping out.
The first glimpse at footage of the film, which also stars Jude Law and Rachel McAdams, was screened for attendees and was described as a “pseudo trailer” by a witness, who claims that the crowd seemed pleased with the scenes shown.
As for Robert, he remains a busy guy, prepping for the sequel to his summer hit, Iron Man 2. As well he should be. Get while the getting’s good.

I think the movie will be great! I don’t believe that Robert Downey Jr is capable of making a bad film. He cares to much about the movies he does and about his fans. It would be nice if all actors felt that way. The reaction from most people present seemed to be positive on all web sites. So, it’s an action/comedy/adventure, who cares. I don’t. I need a fun, charming, entertaining movie to see, and Robert Downey Jr. is fun, charming and entertaining to watch. He is a fantastic actor and unbelievably talented in all mediums. I know he can pull this off. I’ll go see Sherlock Holmes because the uber talented Robert Downey Jr. is Holmes.
