Last night’s soiree at Milk Studios, the Free Arts NYC Event sponsored by both Vanity Fair and Dior was not graced by the attendance of neither Scarlett Johansson nor her fabulous rack. Page Six speculates that Johansson was still recovering from her Sunday morning spill on to the pavement, when she was trying to avoid paparazzi by running under her coat to her car.

Johansson partied all night after hosting “Saturday Night Live,” first at McCormick & Schmick’s and then at Azza. Though event publicists said Johansson “cancelled her appearance,” her rep told Page Six, “Scarlett never agreed to co-host the Free Arts NYC event and was never scheduled to attend.”

Did anyone ever check to see if maybe Scarlett had simply responded with a “maybe” to the Evite? Hmm? Cause that’s the beauty of “maybe”–you just never know.
