Sofia Vergara, the red hot Modern Family star, is a fan of the string bikini.
The 39-year-old actress – who was raised wearing skimpy two-pieces in her native Columbia – admits she got a shock when she first encountered the more modest North American swim suits. She revealed to Esquire:
“I was like, What is that? It’s like a diaper. It’s terrible. Who can look good in that? When I moved to the United States, I used to have bathing suits brought up from Colombia.
There’s nothing slutty about a dental-floss bikini. You don’t even think about it. The first bathing suit your mother buys you is in the shape of a triangle.”

Vergara says the most important thing non-Latino men should have when being in a relationship with a Latina woman is patience. She then said her beau, Nick Loeb, has a lot of patience with her.
“There’s always a lot going on,” Vergara said. “Nick wonders how I can get really mad and scream, then turn around, do something, come back, and forget that I was mad.”
