I think Britney and I are the only two humans left still using CDs. Britney Spears is officially signed to reprise her “Abby” character on the May 12 episode of How I Met Your Mother. Her first appearance, as a lovesick receptionist stalking the “Ted” guy, let America see that she wasn’t absolutely useless and could read. Unless the lines were read to her and she memorized them. Or there was a voiceover. F*ck it, we’re giving her the benefit of the doubt.
How I Met Your Mother producer Craig Thomas says he’s “thrilled” that Britney is reprising her role. Who wouldn’t be? That’s a whole week of gossip on the set.
“And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you,” he says. HAH! I can see why the show is so popular if that guy’s runnin’ thangs! The episode begins shooting today.
I’m not hugely into this show despite my recent Neil Patrick Harris crush, but friends seem to dig it. Brit’s episode will concern her character hooking up with Doogie’s character to make Ted jealous. Wait, is Doogie gay on the show, too?
