Yesterday, Spencer Pratt issued a long (and fake) apology to his soon-to-be ex-wife Heidi Montag, saying that the plans on an intense soul-search and that he’ll be focusing on appropriate ‘avenues’ for his crazy issues.

“Divorce can be a trying, draining, and emotionally devastating experience for all involved,” Pratt, 27, tells PEOPLE. “Despite these hardships, most individuals manage to conduct themselves with dignity and maturity. I did not – I failed spectacularly.”

He continued by adding, “I horribly embarrassed the one person that meant the world to me. For my outrageous and infantile behavior, I offer Heidi my most sincere apologies.” 

Shut.the.front.door. Why would anyone believe this bastard? Every week he’s doing something to get his name in the papers and contacting the mags to get stories published.

Best of all, he thinks after all is said and done, he and Heidi will remain best of friends.
