Oh boy. Way to piss off the Twihards, Stephen Moyer.
The True Blood vampire tried to explain on the BBC’s Friday Night with Jonathan Ross that he meant Edward Cullin was a pussy, not Robert Pattinson. Is that the sound of hole being dug deeper? Apparently he was asked over and over again what he thought of the Twilight‘s main vampire and finally says he eventually made a silly remark that he considered him “the Slim Fast, Diet Coke of vampires”, which he insists was a joke. “I upset every 14-year-old on the planet that day,” he says also explaining that he got hate mail in response. Then he launched into an imitation of a 14-year-old girl, which is pretty funny, but is probably not going to make things better.

Twilight and True Blood are both vampire stories, but I never really thought of them as having the same audience. Am I wrong? Any Twihards out there who will no longer be watching True Blood over these comments?

i think maybe its a jealousy thing he has towards Twilight, cause it gets an extreme amount of attention in a way his show cant get
I didn’t realize he had a British accent. Makes him even sexier! I was a HUGE fan of the Twilight books, but I hated the movies. So, yeah…not sure where I was going with that but True Blood rocks!
I really cant understand the fuss. The character of Edward Cullen is a more ‘watered down’ Vampire, Than the character of Bill compton. He doesnt drink blood etc etc I cant see why the Twihards are getting worked up. They like Edward because of his restraint and us Truebies love Bill for the horny blood lust. Theyre both different characters with different good and bad points. Cullen is, for lack of a better word, A ‘pussy’ in a Vampy context and they should love him for it. I mean I still love Bill dispite the ugly ass season 2 hair…
