Stevie Wonder Too Frisky for His Own Good?

A wrongful termination and relation suit filed by a former employee of a L.A. radio station has named Stevie Wonder, a co-owner of the station, KLJK-FM. The suit alleges that Reginald Thomas Jr. was fired after reporting possible sexual harassment taking place and also after he found out that his co-workers were practicing “plugola,” in which perks are accepted from advertisers in exchange for on-air plugs.

Thomas was alerted to the “plugola” by an advertiser, who felt they were not receiving the plugs for which they had dished out, and reported this to the station’s general manager, Karen Slade. Additionally, Thomas witnessed what he felt might constitute sexual harassment in the workplace. From E! News:

According to the suit, Thomas also asked Slade about a late-night cell phone call made by Wonder to a female sales associate and expressed concern over whether that constituted sexual harassment. Slade responded, “You never know who he is f—ing around here. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.”

I’m going to play Devil’s advocate here for a moment. Maybe he just called to say he loved her. Or maybe he just called to say how much he cared. He has been known to do that.
