Rumors have spread that Britain’s Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle is cracking under the pressure that her international fame has brought her.
A report claims Boyle stomped off angrily from the lobby of
the Wembley Plaza Hotel after watching fellow competitor 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi receive accolades during the live semi-final. Her publicist claims the story is untrue, although another report claims her tirade continued into a full-on meltdown in front of guests.
In response, one of the show’s judges, Piers Morgan, has spoken up to defend Boyle. On his official blog, Morgan penned an essay entitled, “In defence of Susan Boyle,” and says, “Susan is finding it very, very difficult to cope, and to stay calm.”
Piers explains, “She has been in tears many times during the last few days, and even, fleetingly, felt like quitting the show altogether at one point and fleeing all the attention…
“I am calling today for everyone to give her a break,” the reality television fixture pleads. What can we tell ya? Fame’s a bitch.
