At a press conference for the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI halftime show in Indianapolis yesterday (February 20th), Madonna expressed her fears over performing before such an enormous audience come this Sunday.

Born in Bay City, Michigan, Madonna told the press, “This is a Midwesterner girl’s dream to be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show.  In over 25 years of performing that I’ve done, I have never worked so hard or been so scrupulous or detail-oriented or freaked out as much as I have … trying to make the most major show.”

Madge, who assured everyone at the Super Bowl XLVI Media Center in the J.W. Marriott Indianapolis that there will be no “wardrobe malfunction” during the show, added that she’s dedicating her performance to her father.

“I was raised in the Midwest, and he is the personification of Midwestern values, he gave me the work ethic that I have, so if I am a hardworking girl who never stops it’s because of him,” Madge said, according to HELLO!.  “Also, I am sure of all the things I have ever done in my life this will be the thing he is most excited about.”

Yesterday (February 3rd) Madonna ordered $500 worth of pizza from a local Papa John’s to feed crew members who were putting together her stage, according to Contact Music.
