On a recent shopping trip with mother Katie Holmes, five-year-old Suri Cruise pushed along her own baby doll in a stroller– typical for a little girl, but nonetheless adorable. The mother-daughter duo visited the Brentwood Country Mart, known for its upscale boutiques and restaurants, in Santa Monica, California yesterday.

Holmes, in a printed summer dress, long white sweater and ankle boots, watched over her daughter, who periodically checked up on her doll as well.
Suri, donning a polka dot blouse and floral skirt, is also reportedly following in the footsteps of friend Willow Smith and has taken up singing. According to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, Suri is taking lessons from Ron Anderson, who worked with her father Tom Cruise for Rock of Ages.
A source told the publication, “Tom was having sessions with Ron, and Suri came along one day. After a bit of encouragement, she belted out a couple of songs and Ron’s been teaching her since. Her voice will change but she has her heart set on becoming a pop star even at such a young age.”
