Awkward Britain’s Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle has managed to win over Simon Cowell, the United Kingdom and now the United States is embracing the Scottish singer.
Broadway star Patti Lupone, who first performed the Les Miserables song reprised by Susan on the British singing competition, admitted on The Early Show that she was brought to tears when she viewed the YouTube video of Boyle’s performance.
The 47-year-old wowed British audiences with her version of “I Dreamed a Dream” and now, via YouTube, American viewers are catching Susan Boyle fever. The unemployed charity worker who lives alone with her cat said of her performance, “I wanted to make this a tribute to my mother. I knew this was something I had to do.”
