These shirtless photos from his GQ magazine photoshoot reveal Taylor Lautner‘s muscular physique. And it’s not just pretty to look it. Those abs have kept the young actor gainfully employed.

When Taylor was faced with the possibility of being recast as Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, he hit the gym and hard. But Taylor tells GQ it wasn’t just about bulking up, it was about feeling like he had to power to turn his fate around.

“I tried to stay focused on the things I could control,” Lautner confesses. And as it turns out, he’s capable of quite a bit.
