Taylor Momsen is all angers at Leighton Meester and Gossip Girl. According to HollywoodLife.com the show is favoring Meester’s music over hers. GG played Meester’s “Good Girls Gone Bad” and “Somebody To Love” in two separate episodes this season, overlooking Momsen’s punky power. Another kick in the veneers: The CW debuted Meester’s video for “Somebody To Love.” The favoritism is causing tension between the two starlets.
“Taylor is not happy that Gossip Girl has been playing
Leighton’s music on the show, and they have never asked to play any of
her songs. It’s creating a lot of tension on set.”
In Meester’s defense, Momsen’s band, The Pretty Reckless hasn’t released any music yet. Another possible reason for the favoritism? The genre of music.
“Leighton’s pop music fits the theme of Gossip Girl more than Taylor’s punk rock songs.”
My guess? Leighton’s music knows how to use eye makeup remover.
