Maybe Paris Hilton might realize that there’s a price to pay for playing the role of the airhead ditz. Nick Prugo, a member of the “Bling Ring”, told Good Morning America they first chose to rob Hilton’s house because they thought she was “dumb”. Hey, it isn’t her fault, but when you’re famous you got to beware of the crazys!
“Like, who would leave a door unlocked? Who would leave a lot of money lying around?” he said.
In Vanity Fair, he said her front door key was left under a door mat.
“Stupid,” he said.
The “Bling Ring” was made of up five (sleazy) teens who robbed celebrities such as Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson and Audrina Patridge in more than a dozen thefts in 2008 and 2009. The gang, mostly made up of girls, stole millions in cash, clothes jewelry and art after tracking their target’s homes and movements on the internet. They are said to have been obsessed with the celebrities and were caught in November.
Paris doesn’t seem to have taken a cue from the revelation, filming a commercial today outside Bloomingdale’s for Israeli Lottery in which a winner will join her on a, like, shopping spree.
