The Holiday season is upon us, and that means Hollywood is busy releasing two types of films to audiences: Oscar contenders and holiday pictures. However all holiday films are not created equally – some have plots that are so contrived that no one even shows up to the theater to see it, while others have just the right amount of holiday cheer and great actor performances that viewers continue to watch it year after year.
And sometimes movies that fall into either category are packed with stars – like this month’s release New Year’s Eve – and while there’s no doubt that these star-studded Holiday movies must be fun to film, they’re not all fun to watch. So which of these A-list holiday vehicles are downright awful and which ones are worth watching more than once?
