After much hub-bub and exits from Zac Efron, Chace Crawford and director Kenny Ortega, the trailer for Footloose was released today.  I pressed Play, I watched, and I wasn’t impressed for two reasons: 1) The dancing is too Step Up/Save The Last Dance and less “Kick off my Sunday shoes” 2) Kenny Wormald‘s overemphasis of a Boston accent.

Sue me for hoping that the remake would resemble the  984 original musically.  I wanted to be reminded of Bonnie Tyler, Kenny Loggins and Deniece Williams.  I don’t want rap!  TG for Dennis Quaid.  Without him, the whole thing would crumble under the weight of teenage grinding.
