First things’s first: Who else clapped when Damon kissed Elena?
Thankfully The Vampire Diaries didn’t delay their mid-season premiere until the end of January, and instead brought us a new episode last night that unfortunately included a tearful goodbye. The CW confirmed to E! that Steven R. McQueen has left the show, but very well could return at some point in the near future. Personally, I was disappointed to see Elena and Jeremy’s already small and grief-stricken family split up, but everyone’s gotta go their own way (insert High School Musical 2 song here).
It was ironic to see Jeremy and Tyler getting along this episode, given how much they hated one another season one. Those were the days, when Tyler didn’t know his own strength and Jeremy was one of the weird kids pining after Vicki. Now Caroline’s a vampire and Matt literally has no family.
Perhaps I’m behind the times here, but I totally wasn’t expecting to see Torey DeVitto show up (she and Paul Wesley are man and wife). Her character was a high school student in the books, but Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec decided to switch things up and name her Meredith Fell, M.D.
Seriously, who else clapped when Damon and Elena kissed? And were you pleased with this episode? What questions do you need answered? I’d like to know why Klaus didn’t bring Rebecca back to life.
