Punches were thrown again!
Rick tries to console him, but Tyreese punches him in the face which releases the crazy version of Officer Grimes that we all know and love.
The person responsible for these mystery burnings may come as a surprise to most people in the compound.
Hershel lets Rick know that there is a council meeting, but Grimes declines. He is only concerned with food and fresh water for the sick and infected. The council decides to quarantine the children, babies, and elderly in the administration building away from anyone else in order to prevent infection. Hershel tells everyone that the symptoms are what is killing people, not the virus itself. If they can treat the virus than they might have a fighting chance.
Daryl and Michonne decide to raid of a veterinary clinic over fifty miles away. Daryl lets Tyreese know that he is welcome to join, but the dude wants to stand watch over the sick bay, where his friend Sasha and even Dr. S are infected with the illness. After Tyreese buries Karen, Rick approaches him and apologizes. The two men agree that they both were in the wrong when it comes to the fight.
Carl is on patrol in the kids quarantine when he finds Hershel leaving. He refuses to let him leave alone and accompanies him out into the woods to collect elderberries. They find a walker who has become part of a tree and is covered in moss. They also find a walker who has a bad leg that seems caught in a trap. Carl raises his gun to shoot, but Hershel reminds him that he doesn’t need to kill off the walker and should save his ammo.
When Hershel returns Maggie is there to greet him and let him know he is in no way going to treat the sick people. But Glenn is infected now and Hershel says he can only do whatever it is in his power to save him instead of sit around. He plans on giving the patients elderberry tea to help them get over the flu. While he is serving the tea to Dr. S, he is coughed on and blood splatters all over his face. He takes off his face covering and accepts whatever possibility lies ahead.
Carol goes out alone to clean out the hose that brings water to the compound even though Rick told her to wait until the next day. She is swarmed by walkers and Rick rushes to the fence to help her before she gets back to safety in time.
Daryl and Michonne’s team are driving to their destination when they hear voices on the radio. Daryl becomes distracted and isn’t paying attention to the road when they hit a pack of walkers, like hundreds of them. They try to turn the car around, but it gets stuck on a pile of dead walkers. The team abandons the vehicle and fights their way to safety. Tyreese stays in the car contemplating whether he should give up, but makes it out alive after slaying a dozens of walkers.
Rick investigates the area where the two bodies were burned and comes to a conclusion as to who is responsible. He approaches Carol and tells her that he knows she would do anything to protect the kids that she cares for. He asks her if she killed the two infected people by burning them and she casually admits to doing it.
