Well, so much for the comeback. After two episodes, the CW has cancelled The Beautiful Life: TBL. I’m blaming the cancellation on a few things. First of all “:TBL.” Come on. Why?
Second. Sara Paxton is boring.
Third. Ashley Madekwe is annoying.
Fourth. The writing was pretty awfully cheesy.
Mischa Barton was the most exciting thing about the show. Using a model with a baby as “the big secret” is just not compelling (the backstories of most of the models were just plain boring – farm boy, father in prison). Give a model Mackenzie Phillips back story and we’ve got something, but a model with a baby. No.
And where were all the gay male models?
