First off, did you all see the reunion show last night. What the fuck was Guadalupe on? The woman made no sense whatsoever. And I love, how pretty much no attention was paid to the first few designers who were voted off. What kind of diet did John go on? I totally had no idea who he was.
Out.com has a two-part interview with our favorite member of the Project Runway team, Tim Gunn. The attitude, the quips, the “look.” It seems Tim does get attached to the contestants, and when he was asked who he was most sad to see leave this season, he refused to answer. However, he did answer the question of who he didn’t mind being “out” this season.
I’ll use Daniel Franco as an example. Lord, this past week I have found out I’ve developed an allergy to the guy. There was no way he was going to stay the course of season two. Absolutely no way. He doesn’t understand a deadline. He is incredibly annoying to be around. He’s the one person who never, ever forgot there was a camera around. So I was thrilled he left the way he left. Because he really did leave with dignity and with grace and with professionalism. And, boy, was I relieved he was gone. I just couldn’t stomach going much further with all that stuff of his. The other person from season two who I was not only perfectly happy to see go, I would have arranged for a car service to get her out of there, was Zulema. Oh, my God.
Have we mentioned that we love Tim Gunn? Carry on.
Project Runway’s Big Gunn [Out]
Guadalupe’s comment made everyone so uncomfortable. I think she smoked some crack before showing up because she was wacked out when she arrived…….it surely wasn’t the alcohol.
James Frey needs to see the Project Runway reunion to see what messed-up really looks like.
Guadalupe must have thought it was the BEING BOBBY BROWN reunion.
Tim Gunn is my favorite part of the show. Santino’s impressions of him are spot on.
Oh my goodness, I adore this show! I was totally addicted to the first one too. This is truly one of the best things on TV. Love Mr. Gunn. He has such class about him! He’s like that older man that I find attractive, though he’s gay. He’s always so well dressed and groomed. He’s talented. He knows what he’s doing, as his remarks are precise. The show wouldn’t work nearly as well without Tim Gunn.
Zulema had too much nerve and too much attitude. Taking Nick’s model! My God, I could see it if she was one of the top people, but her work was just barely getting by. She shouldn’t have upset things like that when she had to know she was getting ready to get the boot. She was not a great designer.
Nick was one of my favorite people ever. He showed heart and soul. I loved his comments and sense of humor. He just had such a sensitivity to him that was missing from others, and I thought he should have at least been in the final four.
I liked just about all of Chloe’s designs, but she’s kind of simple. Santino seems like he would be a perfect designer to show since he’s so “out there.” He’s the guy I loved and hated. I couldn’t quite detest him though. He makes the show fun.
Overall, I really liked Daniel V. He kept his focus, he had the most wins, and though he’s kind of quiet, I think he has the talent to make a really spectacular line of clothing.
Can’t wait to see the results!

And I know Santino is unnerving- but I kinda laughed my ass off at him. Tell me ya’ll were not ROFL when Santino did his Tim Gunn impersonation…. TOO damn funny. He claled it like it is, baby.

I just started watcing the show a few weeks ago when i stumbled upon it by mistake, and i was immediatley hooked! They show is awesome! Cant wait till next season.
If Santino won, there’s no justice.
Oscar de la Renta doesn’t have an outlandish personality but he designs some of the most beautiful clothes out there.
Even he wins, we all know he’ll end up “designing” at Forever 21, if he’s lucky.
Chloe makes beautiful clothes, but they are a little dull. Daniel has the perfect balance between creativity and wearability.
You all have me laughing again. Thanks for the memories!
I caught only a little of “Project Jay”, as I was talking on the phone when it aired. I saw the part about him getting a surgery, and the end when Heidi dissed him. I felt badly for him.
Jay is hilarious too. He’s a lot of fun. I hope everything works out super for him.
I saw Santino on “Regis and Kelly” not long ago. It’s going to be so interesting to see who wins. I just don’t know. Santino really, really wants this thing and he acts like he’s going to win it.
I think Santino won…In the article, Tim Gunn slips up a bit, but I saw the collections of all four designers (for some reason Kira shows too). Santino’s is by far the most beautiful and the most creative.

Anon, after you told us about Wire Image, I couldn’t resist taking a peek.
But guess what? Looking at the smaller images, I actually like Kara Janx’s collection! It looks really colorful, with lots of textures. But alas, she is no longer in the running. Good for her that she got to show.
To me, Daniel’s collection is lacking color. Darn!I see too much black. It also looks somewhat conservative.
Oh well, we’ll no for certain soon.
