Kathy Hilton’s reaction at her daughter’s sentencing in court on Friday pretty much explains exactly how her daughter ended up so spoiled and out of touch with the consequences of what the rest of us like to refer to as “real life,” in the first place. Courtroom sketch artist, Mona Shafer Edwards, offered People magazine an eyewitness account of Kathy Hilton’s outburst in the courtroom after hearing that Paris was to spend 45 days in jail. According to Edwards, the sentence was read, the courtroom emptied somewhat and Paris began to cry.
Then, said Edwards, Hilton’s mother, Kathy Hilton, angrily burst from the courtroom seating area toward the attorneys’ table, saying loudly, “I can’t believe this, I can’t believe this.”
She went over to her daughter’s side, standing over her and putting her arm around Paris as others crowded around her.
Eventually, Paris stood and was hugged by her father, Rick Hilton, who said, “I can’t believe this, either.”
“I don’t know what happened,” said Paris. “I did what they said.”
Kathy Hilton, red in the face, then walked up to one of the prosecutors and screamed, “You’re pathetic.” She then asked sarcastically, “Can I have your autograph?”
And, of course, they ignored her crazy, spoiled ass. But that didn’t stop ol’ girl from continuing on her tirade, which continues after the jump (plus more photos)…
About half a dozen sheriffs’ deputies then approached Kathy Hilton, who screamed at them, “Don’t you touch me, don’t you touch me.”
As the family was about to exit the courtroom, said Edwards, Kathy Hilton declared for all to hear, “[The judge] made up his mind before he even came in today. If it were anyone else, this would’ve never had happened.”
She then exclaimed, “And after all the money we spent!”
I wonder how much restraint it took for her to keep from screaming, “But we’re RICH and WHITE, you idiots! Don’t you understand? We don’t DO jail!” Seriously, these jokers need to be thanking their lucky stars Paris didn’t pull this shit in a country where they cane people, although personally, that’s the only thing about this verdict that disappoints me.

Is she trying to look innocent in white. That’s the thing about being a celeb.. there’s always photgraphic evidence. dumb b1tch
There is a God!!!!! This is too good to be true!
Imagine what Rick Hilton was thinking! He probably thought, “Oh shit, now my wife is about to get hauled to jail! STFU, Kathy!”
Oh to be a fly in the car on the way home!
Paris doesn’t have a leg to stand on- SHE’S GOING TO JAIL!
“Joy to the world,
All the boys and girls, now!
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea,
and Joy to you and me”
No Joy for the Hiltons, HA!
This is too good to be true! Anyone else think this may just be another publicity stunt? I’m sure there are judges in LA that would be happy to oblige.
Kathy Hilton ought to be happy, at least her damn fool daughter might dry out in jail. I hope they make her serve every day of her sentence. Paris Hilton is a clueless fool and should not be driving a car period. As a matter of fact I think Lohan, Ritchie, Spears and all the clueless wonders should give up their drivers licenses before they kill someone.
O.M.G., the woman is deluded! A friend of mine had a good idea, Paris should start taking self defense classes before reporting for shower duty.
Justice is Served.
Ok, what in the world must happen before EVERYBODY understands what morons these self absorbed jerks are? What a deluded bunch of pathetic fools! Money can’t buy class or brains.
FINALLY A CONSEQUENCE FOR HER ACTIONS! It is obvious that she has never had one in her life… I nominate the judge who sentenced her for sainthood.
If anyone is interested in a sorid Hilton tale check out the book “House of Hilton” by Gerry Oppenheimer. It’s nothing fantastic but it puts things in perspective.
It was a good day for the common people. I hope that she won’t get a jail free card. That she will understand that she is just as we, the normal not rich people. And above all, that she not above the law.
As someone noted, Michelle Rodriguez got 60 days and served 2 hrs at the same facility due to overcrowding.
Paris will likely get sprung after 1hr 15mins by that measure.
Here, here KBR. Well said.
The Hilton family with their money & influence, probably thought the whole “silly” affair would be a slam dunk in their daughter’s favor.
Welcome to the world the majority of us regular folks live in.
do regular people go to jail for driving without a license, with no prior record?
I’m no paris fan but am still repulsed by people getting joy from someone else’s misery.
Dear Just Asking:
Driving w/o headlights
Driving w/o a license
Driving with a suspended license
Arrested for DUI, which calls for jail time and she labeled ‘nothing’
Failure to attend a COURT MANDATED alcohol education program:
So, as you can see, Ms. Hilton has a fairly long record, which, if it belonged to any of us ‘commoners,’ would have landed us somewhere resembling a jail long ago.
And then she has the gall to show up 15 minutes late to court, tipping the scales further from her.
This should be a wake up call for her, her family and her fans. Thankfully, she didn’t kill anyone through her irresponsible antics. If she were really as ‘smart’ as so many mistakenly choose to call her, if she were truly humbled by the experience, if she actually took respsonsibility for ANYTHING, Ms. Hilton could have taken this blip on her radar and turned it intosomething positive to TEACH with. Instead, she has the temerity and selfish attitude to encourage a plea to the governor, when she ought to have done what Ty Pennington did today: Apologize to everyone affected by his actions, accept his due without protest or a holier-than-thou attitude and accept his fate. He was actually SMART about it and that attitude will reflect on his future.
Ms. Hilton, enabled in particular by her mother and her fans, deserves everything the rest of us would have suffered. To single her out as ‘special’is ridiculous and only shows what this society has become: Dumbed down.
