Sarah Silverman hosted the Independent Spirit Awards this year, and she got things off to a dirty start (click the not really safe for work clip above of her intro). Her opening monologue was basically all about her vagina. We learned that she’s fresh down there. The Spirt Awards are great because they are what you wish the Oscar’s could be all about – rude and lude celebrities. My other favorite moment was when Kevin Smith whored out his wife. I’m hoping he went over this bit prior to going on stage. I also loved his comment about Sarah Silverman; “Finally there’s an award show host that you’d wanna fuck.”
Brokeback Mountain won the top two awards, Best Feature and Best Director, while it was shut out of the acting categories. The amazing Felicity Huffman won Best Actress for Transamerica and Phillip Seymor Hoffman won Best Actor for Capote.

I am assuming that Sarah Silverman is the sister of actor Jonathan Silverman. I saw the show and she was absolutely hysterical. Kevin Smith is brilliant! The follow-the-bouncing-ball songs were so much fun. The show was a breath of fresh air compared to the teary and proper award shows.
She has that pretty jewish girls look, like Amanda Peet, Natalie Portman and a girl I know. I love that, they’re all very pretty.

Is Sarah Silverman really the sister of Johnathan Silverman? They were born in different cities and her iMDB bio mentions three sisters but no brother.
