Matt Damon‘s dumpy on-screen whistleblower from his film with director Steven Soderberg was nowhere to be found on the red carpet for the movie’s premiere at the 66th International Venice Film Festival.

Instead, Matt looked his usual dapper self, in a simple black tuxedo, with his lovely wife, Luciana Barroso, on his arm in a floor-length, heather gray gown with a seriously plunging neckline.

But it’s not all movie premieres and red carpets for the actor, whose pet charity project One X One keeps him nearly as busy as his kids. The star teamed up with Edward Rogers of Rogers Communications Inc. and are planning a private gala at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.

The soiree will be held at Rogers’ home in Forest Hill to raise money for the organization and is considered one of the hottest, most star-studded tickets surrounding the event. Mixing business with pleasure, is a recipe for success.
