I don’t think she is seeking attention. That is ridiculous. If she was seeking attention she would not have moved to New Orleans, of all places. When I saw her there, absolutely no one even noticed her, no one else was following her (except me, ha ha), no one was camped outside her house, I saw no paps. What a relief that must be for them, to be able to live pretty much normally there. If she wanted constant attention she would live in L.A. full-time and go out to the “in” places. As for Holie, she says what she wants to in order to get attention. She’s one that feeds off the attention and she’s done it for years. Why else sleep with married men? It’s like a game to her. I’ve always thought she was trashy looking and slutty acting, and had/has no class at all.

She is on the contraceptive pill.
She was sexual in nursery school.

I actually like Angelina because she lives on her own terms. She always has. I like most of her movies. I like what she has to say. I like that she has a heart. I totally agree, there is a huge difference between being a fan and worship. I am indeed a big fan of Brad and Angelina, as I am with Matt Damon, Johnny Depp, etc… But they are human beings just like we are, and in no way should be worshiped. I will continue to support their movies and their other endeavors.

I think the whole “loonie”-outing thing is crazy. I have always thought that Brad was kind of vapid until recently, but I have always been a fan of Angelina. What I find so compelling about her is that she seems a beautifully and terribly flawed creature. I think she touches off the same thing in people that Princess Di did…remember how much more people loved her after she revealed the cutting, the bulimia, etc.? She was so beautiful, but she admitted that she was also struggling (and so fragile). She was the beautiful princess I saw marry when I was 8, but she felt some things I have felt…it brought her closer (which is, of course, the lure of celebrity). I don’t want to analyze someone I don’t know, but comments from Angelina like she and her first boyfriend cut themselves because she couldn’t feel anything make me think she was some kind of a trauma survivor…there are so many red-flags (the cutting, the early drug use, the bouncing back and forth between periods of hypersexuality and abstinence). I think her appeal is that–other than just being so damn beautiful–she has the feel of someone who has suffered and changed for the better.
Just some thoughts.
Oh, and for the haters: would anyone here want to be judged forever on a dumb thing you said or did at age 20? FOREOVER? I know I wouldn’t!!

Whipsmart – I think I’m “talking about stuff” too. I’m just not saying the same thing you are. It’s called individual perspective or opinion. It’s also called freedom of speech. I can, and will, say whatever I want about these two. Just like you. I have no interest, nor need, to visit other sites, thank you very much.

And folks, just because I think Angelina Jolie has Borderline Personality Disorder (oh and Kay, interesting and smart of you to mention the similarities to Lady Diana as there are books that report that both of these ladies, plus a few others like Marilyn Monroe) doesn’t mean I hate her at all. I think she has very serious unaddressed mental health issues and the one adoption after the other adoption after the other adoption, the lack of feeling, the hatred for her father, and ALL of the attention-getting ploys are simply symptoms of that type of disorder, and she needs to step up to that (especially now that she’s planning a family of about 9 kids).

The fact that you all stand there and WORSHIP the ground she walks on solely based on her beauty is ABSURD, not to mention shallow. MM was right on when she/he said that you wouldn’t be all gaga over this couple if they were unattractive.
