Just days after our Commander and Chief and wife in tow visited Vietnam the Pitts show up on Thanksgiving to enjoy their turkey day. The twosome buzzed around the streets on a little motorcycle and visited Ho Chi Minh City and the former area of Saigon. They ate at the most popular restaurant in the city and had no problem getting around.

While most of the Vietnamese didn’t really care of their presence they were more interested in why they seemed so important. One worker in Hanoi stated that:

“I saw the pictures in the newspaper but still have no idea why the fuss about these Westerners. But now maybe I will watch their movies to know why.”

I applaud the “help others” trend but I cannot wait until it is replaced by adopting socialites or a save the appletini campaign.
